Use of "potential analyses"
Use of "potential analyses" and personality tests
Are the well-known personality tests on the market, as they can be found in any large company, suitable, often even more of them?
Personality tests (oftentimes developed by companies themselves as well) are used in many different areas.
They are employed to offer support in personnel selection (Management Audits & competence checks), staff development, team development, training, coaching and much more.
There are often of countless versions of a single test (e.g. for executives, salespeople, team checks, work behaviour, role behaviour, natural behaviour, etc.).
All of the tests offer the customer benefits and new findings. However if you ask people who have taken a test in the past, many of those indicate that they had not wanted to know how they can improve.
- What is the aim of a "potential analysis" or a personality test?
- Does a company get what it is looking for?
- Are analyses worth their money?
- What do I really obtain myself from the analysis?
- Where can I get starting points for my self-reflection and where for dealing with other people?
From our experience, each method has a way of working for different types of people and personalities, or companies; it just depends on what you would like to get out of it, how willing you are to learn something new about yourself and what you would like to do with the results in the future.
